Age Verification Clause
In the event of a formal age challenge, an opposing team may initiate an age verification request by submitting a $100 non-refundable fee to the tournament director on the day of the event. All age verification requests must be made in a timely manner, prior to the distribution of awards, to allow sufficient time for review. Upon receipt, all awards for the team in question will be held until official birth certificates are provided for each player on the challenged team to confirm eligibility for their bracket.

If it is determined that one or more players are outside the allowable age range for their division:

• The team in violation will be stripped of any awards,

• Disqualified from the tournament, and

• Banned from participating in future Mint City tournaments.
  In this case, the $100 deposit will be returned in full to the team who filed the challenge.

If all players are found to be within the proper age range, the $150 fee will be retained by the St. Johns Area Chamber of Commerce to cover administrative costs associated with the verification process.
